Use an Existing CAHIP CE Course
Notice: Due to increase fees from the Department of Insurance (DOI). CAHIP now charges $1.00 per person it enters into the DOI database system. Once you submit the attendee roster to CAHIP. CAHIP will send you an invoice for the amount.
Steps to using an existing CAHIP CE Course
- Choose a course from the online course catalog (see below)
- This must be done 21 days prior to use of the course
- Submit the CE Course Submission Form to CAHIP (see below)
- This must be done 21 days prior to use of the course
- Approximately 1 week in advance the CE session, CAHIP will email the CE packet with instructions to the email listed on the Course Submission Form.
- It is the responsibility of the person who receives the email to make copies of the Certificate of Completion and have copies available for attendees. (The speaker must sign this form)
- Return the ORIGINAL completed CE packet to CAHIP within 5 business days to
- CAHIP 2520 Venture Oaks Way #150, Sacramento CA 95833
- ORIGINAL PAPERWORK ONLY – no scans, emails, faxes
- It is recommended to return the CE packet using a form of mail with a tracking number
- CE Roster sheets must be fully completed in order for attendees to receive credit. CAHIP does not look up missing information for attendees.
- It is the responsibility of the chapter to return all paperwork to CAHIP within the specified timeframe or attendees may not receive credit for the CE course.

NEW REQUIREMENT AS OF 1/1/15
Instructor Qualification Form 446-4 (7/14) -- This is a new version of the DOI Instructor Qualification Form. DOI now requires instructors to provide supporting documentation of qualifications. Please see page two of the form for details. All instructors must complete this form, regardless if having previous CAHIP CE experience. List of Instructor(s)/Subject Matter Expert(s) Form 446-4A (7/14)-- DOI is now requiring all instructors provide their SSN for a DOI background check. Complete the forms and mail original forms, with required documentation to: CAHIP, 2520 Venture Oaks Way, #150, Sacramento CA 95833.
Once CAHIP receives the forms we will file the use of the course for the chapter. Upon receipt of this form,CAHIP will email the requestor a confirmation that the course has been filed with the California Department of Insurance.
